Indufor Strengthens Staff Capacities

Ms. Marisa Camargo, MEM from Yale University 2007, and LL.M. from Vermont Law School 2005, born 1980, joined the Indufor team in June 2007 to strengthen Indufor’s climate change strategies.
Prior to joining Indufor, Ms. Camargo worked on the promotion of Dialogue on Forestry issues in Brazil under The Forests Dialogue based at Yale University. She also worked at the Yale Center for Forest Policy and Governance as a researcher on various forest policy issues. Previous to these experiences, Ms. Camargo worked as a legal consultant in Rio de Janeiro where she is a partner at Camargo, Guimaraes & Carvalho law firm.
Ms. Camargo specializes on corporate social responsibility and climate change. She has research experience on sustainability, ecotourism and transportation issues in Europe, China, India, Colombia, and Kenya.
Mr. Sepul Kanti Barua, M.Sc. Forest Sciences from the University of Helsinki, Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, born 1980, joined the Forest Policy Team of Indufor in May 2007 as Forest Economist.
Mr. Barua’s key focuses include Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT), valuation of non-market forest goods and services, and forest taxation issues.
Mr. Petteri Seppänen has been promoted to Senior Forestry Consultant.
Ms. Anni Blasten has been promoted to Senior Marketing Coordinator.
