Indufor in a Winning Consortium on Forest Investments in Ecuador

Indufor Oy, together with SEK Advisory Services of Sweden and SDS – Sustainable Development Services, Ecuador, won the tendering by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) on project "Improving the Business Climate for Forest-based Investments in Ecuador".

The services include the undertaking of IADB’s Process to Improve the Business Climate for Forest Investment (PROMECIF) for Ecuador by developing the following specific objectives:

  1. Prepare a strategic action plan to improve the business climate for forest-based investments
  2. Identify and design institutional and legal reforms to be implemented in the short term
  3. Prepare a business plan to improve the performance, increase participation, and diversify and added value to the forest business clusters already exporting from Ecuador

The 12-month project started in November 2007.
