Indufor and Technical Research Centre of Finland into Remote Sensing Cooperation Agreement

Indufor and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland have signed a cooperation agreement on marketing and providing remote sensing services for forestry and environmental management.
The two organizations plan to combine Indufor’s overall forestry and environmental management expertise and thorough knowledge of forest related international agreements with VTT’s technical expertise in remote sensing services. The target is to assist countries and international organizations in policy development and implementation related to the Kyoto protocol, especially to develop cost-effective methods to monitor carbon stock changes for Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD).
