Jeff Pickering - Consultant - Resource Mapping, holds a Bachelor of Resource Management from Unitec, Auckland (2007) and is currently finalising his Masters of Science in Environmental Management at Auckland University.
Jeff's is proficient in the field of GIS & environmental management and deriving information from spatial data and satellite imagery. He specialises in data integration, land use mapping and determining temporal land cover change caused by deforestation and degradation. Many of these activities assist in supporting national and project-level Monitoring, Reporting and Verification Systems (MRVS) as required for Kyoto and REDD+ reporting.
Jeff has been involved in capability building at both the university level and within government departments. He has experience in Oceania, South America and Asia.
