Hanna Nikinmaa, Senior Forestry and Environment Specialist, holds a master’s degree in forest ecology (M.Sc. For.) from the University of Helsinki (1989) and a postgraduate diploma in educational technology from Kuru Institute of Forestry (1992).
Hanna Nikinmaa is specialised in the promotion of sustainable forest and natural resources management with international organisations and private companies at strategic and on practical levels. Her expertise includes certification systems for nature resource management, e.g. forest, bioenergy and peatland management as well as improvement of social and environmental responsibility in organisations. She has provided lectures and courses on certification and auditing in Finland and internationally. Her professional work experience covers Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Australia.
Nikinmaa is fluent in Finnish, English, Spanish, French and Swedish.
