Tapani Oksanen, Senior Partner, holds master’s degrees in forest products’ marketing (M.Sc. For.) (1981) and social economics of forestry (M.Sc. Agric & For.) (1985) from the University of Helsinki.

Tapani Oksanen has 30 years of experience with forest and development issues from policy and planning to field-level implementation in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Russia. During his career, he has worked for the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) based in Honduras and Peru, the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the World Bank based in Washington, D.C. Most recently he has dealt with issues related to forest governance and law enforcement, and forests and climate change.

He is fluent in Finnish, English, Spanish and Swedish.
